Failing doesn't mean you are the failure.

Every year I make New Years resolutions. Although it seems I don't always stick with them as I had hoped, I can't help myself from making a fresh new list of goals. Maybe it's because I'm actually a list-making addict or because it's New Years Eve and it's just the thing to do, but I think it's a good excuse to TRY. Try to better yourself, try something new, try to reach for that dream you've always hung onto. Who knows, maybe one day you'll reach that seemingly unattainable goal and how awesome will that be? Besides, even if you fail at least that means you got up off the couch and tried, that's better than not attempting to move off the couch because you're afraid of failure, right? Right.

Happy New Year!

Today is the last day of 2012. What a perfect day to begin my new blog! I am excited to begin. I enjoy writing but need some practice, oil my joints. So some things about me: I am a wife to my super sweet hubby, Donald and Mommy to a darling little girl named Zury LaVon. She keeps us laughing every. single. day. Nothing is better than being a parent. I am planning on homeschooling her, she just turned two and I am preparing to begin so we will be in the groove in a few years. You can follow me on here and learn from my mistakes and ideas or laugh and play along with us. I am terribly health conscious but terrible about exercising. I am beginning to go gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free. I currently eat only fish and sometimes antibiotic free and free range turkey as meats, and try to stay away from artificial flavors and colors or anything made in a lab. I also try to eat organic and shop at the farmers market often. Follow me for yummy recipes and some non-yummy, I'll be sure to let you know. I love animals and will most likely talk about them often but not as often as I do about my little sunshine girl. Looking forward to making some world-wide friendships!
